  • If you are looking for
  • quality accommodation
  • value for money
  • good food that is home cooked and often home grown
  • a warm welcome
  • great company
  • accommodation for pleasure or business
  • a gateway to the countryside

then join us and stay on a farm in the North of England.

Welcome to a world of beautiful scenery, historic farmhouses, rural traditions, wonderful home-cooking and friendly faces.

The farms listed are situated in some of the North of England's most beautiful countryside. Most are working farms, surrounded by their own land, which has often belonged to the same family for many generations, or are part of large estates such as the National Trust. Many are situated in the great National Parks of the north, in designated Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty or close to World Heritage Sites.

Farmers welcome visitors from all over the world, many of whom come back time and again to enjoy the unique atmosphere of staying on a farm. For some it's the peace and quiet of the countryside, for others it's the thrill of taking part in farm life - watching the animals being fed, lambing time, milking, cheesemaking, sheep-dog training. Many farms allow visitors to bring their dogs on holiday - there's nowhere better to exercise the pet! - and some even have facilities for horses too!
